My Process
My core values, how I think, and a look into my product thinking process.
Collaboration
Passionate people make amazing features, passionate teams make amazing products.
I view my collaborative nature in two specific ways:
Visionary - thinking about ways to expand our features to meet users where they need to be met
Stakeholder - maintaining ownership over my work, level of craft, and vocalizing my opinions especially for important decisions
Craft
Design is not just a nice to have, it’s a necessity.
I hold myself to a high standard when it comes to design. If we don’t hold up against competitor products in terms of experience AND visual design then I am a firm believer that we must take it to the next level.
Agility
We don’t have time to move slow. Ship fast, iterate with users, and build early loyalty.
My caveat to this rule is to balance this with building products people will actually use. It doesn’t make sense to ship something if it has a ton of papercuts that makes it difficult to navigate or use, or doesn’t solve a problem that they can easily do with their current tools. It has to make their work at least 100% easier to complete a task.
Most recently, I have been experimenting with AI tools to challenge the status quo and push me to brainstorm, iterate, and move the needle early on.
